I don’t consider myself perfect. Much less clean and worthy of His love. There were times in my life that I have done and said things that I know hurt and disappointed Him, that made me unworthy of His love. I questioned why He let those things happen. I questioned my faith. I asked, if He truly loves us…why would He even let us go through all these tests and hard times? Can’t He make things easier for us? Where is He while we are going through all these trials?
He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver….
Like the silver, we are put in the furnace of trials so we can be put to a test.. not to harm us but so much so, that we can be refined and made strong. Like a silversmith, He must constantly sit and watch, for, if the time of refining is exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured. All through our trials, those times that we thought He has forsaken us, He was watching over us…careful not to harm us. He will not let us be tested beyond what we can endure. How great is His love for us!
So how does the silversmith knows when the refining process is complete?
When he can see his own image in the silver, the refining process is complete.
God allows us to go through difficult times so that we may grow in faith. So that through our trials, we may become a reflection of Him that not only He can see but also, so that others can see His reflection on us.
Isn’t that beautiful?!?
I am still a silver in process. A silver who truly believes that her silversmith knows her heart. When all is said and done, she should be,
refined by Him….
“And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Malachi 3:3 KJV
All good things,
