when a child quits being a child

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

What makes a child quits being a child?

A child that should be full of innocence and love, specially towards another child.

What makes them hurt other children?

Last night, I was told by my daughter Nikki, that while they were having lunch together, somebody asked what would they want to be when they grow up. Everybody took turns in sharing their dreams. Nikki said, she would like to be a FBI agent or a famous singer or actress.

Then it happened, one girl laughed at her and another told Nikki, you are not going to be a FBI agent nor can never be a famous singer or actress.

Yes, it broke her heart. She said that after lunch she went to the bathroom and cried.

It broke my heart.

How can a child said something like that?

How can they hurt another childs feelings?

Last night, we cried together….it was an emotionally sad talk yet emotionally and spiritually fulfilling.

We shared stories, I explained and encourage, we cried more….

And yes, Nikki you can be anybody that you want to be and don’t let anybody take away that dream from you. And God knows and that He loves you.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

What do you do when a child quits being a child?

What made them quit being a child?

“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

When was the last time have you had a talk with your child?

{Forgive Like He Would}

“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18:21-22

What is forgiveness to you anyway?

Is it just a matter of saying “I forgive you?”

Are you someone who can easily forgive a person, no matter how big and deep your hurt was?

Or are you someone who hold bitterness, anger and resentment within you?

Outburst of wrath?

Fits of anger?

“But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. Matthew 5:22

Can we forgive like He would?

Without judgement.

Without insults.

Without conditions.

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31-32

Forgiving in silence.

With love.

With understanding.

With respect.

With humility.

With submission.

With prayers.

Like He would.

“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is.” Psalm 103:8-12

What about you, what is forgiveness to you?

Have you forgiven someone today, like He would?

All good things,
Charina

{His Blood of Redemption}

”In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:7

Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay. Our sins had to be paid for with Jesus’ blood.

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 1:18-19

He – The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world…He who is our Passover Lamb.

“Nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:12

His blood shed for me – for you – for all of us.

“And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”

His redeeming blood.

All good things,
