Come to Me…

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” Isaiah 26:3

What troubles you?

Have you ever come to a point that you got tired of worrying too much that you finally accepted defeat? A humbling defeat…..

Come to me.

Lay your troubles and worries on me. I love you and I want to help you.

You see, I have been waiting and waiting for you. I have been watching over you. I hurt when you hurt. Your burdens are my burdens. I want to wipe away the tears in your eyes.

During your times of weakness, I gave you just enough strength to go on, hoping you will notice me and long for my company. In your times of darkness, I showed you enough beauty to see my light. In your times of loneliness, I sent you plenty of hugs and kisses and love; I was with you. During your times of emptiness,  I made you full with my words.

Come to Me.

I have walked beside you, run with you, cried with you. Did you see me? Felt my presence?

I have picked you up and carried you, even in those times that you thought I abandoned you.

You see, I love you and I want to comfort you and give you peace.

Will you trust me?

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:1b-3a)

{think God!}

Have you ever seen the movie “Oh God Book II?

Isn’t that sad that God have to come down and asked the help of an 11-year-old to promote himself and get the people to think about Him? I don’t know about you but this makes me sad….

{think God!}

So how often do you think about God?

Sometimes?

Most of the time?

All the time?

Never?

{think God!}

…..and feel God inside you, outside you and around you.

Have you had a talk with Him lately? Do you know that He is waiting? And yes He listens and comforts and wipe away tears and the best source of strength and joy and hope.

That piece you’re missing?

….it could be Him.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be had not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.” 1 John 3:1-2

{think God!}

….and watch your thoughts become clear, your speech becomes clear and your actions becomes holy.

And yes, there is peace, and joy and contentment and strength and comfort in Him.

{think God….}

And let our Savior shine within you!

He is waiting!

“so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

the power of words…..

Have you paid attention to your words lately?

Words – whether within our own thoughts, spoken or written, have the power to transform the world we live in. It has the power to inspire, encourage, uplift and make a difference in someone else’s life, as much as it has the power to hurt, de-grade, insult, discourage and ruin a person’s reputation and life.

“Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18

A Speaker…am not, much more a public speaker. It takes time for me to warm up to a person before I’m into a conversation with someone.

I am a greeter though….greetings that may be nothing to some or may go unnoticed at times but could also mean the world to one.

{You said hello, greeted me with a good morning, asked me how I was doing and send me off with a good day, these words that might be simple and everyday words to most of us have save my life and sanity, you took the time to let me know that you care…that I matter.}

I am also careful with my words. I stay away from people and keep my silence when I am mad or upset, situations where emotions can get the best of me, where hurtful and regretful words are better left unsaid. Words that can be forgiven but not forgotten, words that can leave a remarkable scar…

{Thank you for keeping your silence when it is needed the most.}

And what about those words that heal a broken spirit, that inspire a troubled mind and encourage a weary heart? Those words of comfort to those who are sick and lost, those words that feed the heart and soul…

{You told me that God loves me, that I am special to Him, that I can do it, that you understand, that you are praying for me and God is holding my hand, that you love me…..do you know that it made a difference in my life?}

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” James 3:17

And then, there are those words that hurt, that discourage – those words that invoked anger and fear and hatred – those words that robbed someone of their ability to dream and believe in themselves…..of their life?

….those hurtful, insulting, criticizing, judging, belittling words that are written, spoken, posted, tweeted – the ones that get the more likes – the more comments? Sad but true….

{You criticized the way I walk, tweeted or posted about my inability to talk, even noticed my taste of clothes and my parking of choice and belittle me as a whole.}

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3

Our words – at its finest when used to inspire others to find the best in themselves.

“Words which do not give the light of Christ increase the darkness.” Mother Teresa
